please read…… my story…..!!!!

“I shall shape my future. Whether I fail or succeed shall be no man’s doing but my own. I am the force; I can clear any obstacle before me. Or I can be lost in the maze. My choice. My responsbility. Win or lose, only I hold the key to my destiny.”
That was the quote that started my journey!

Ok well I am completely new to this but here I go…. My name is Jason I have been over weight my whole life (I just turned 30), I have lost substantial weight twice in my life before, but never kept it off. Well I am taking a new approach, I have set realistic goals, with rewards, I have consulted a naturopath to ensure I am eating right, and I have found the will power to try to over my food addiction. I feel like I have been imprisoned in my own body my whole life… but I now can picture myself being a slim person. I am so pumped… so my goal is to lose 80 pounds by December 31. You only have one shot a life…. Make it a good one.I will keep everyone updated on my progress.

I am feeling good… not great but good. Mind over matter right?! I have to take my Cat in tomorrow for a heart scan so I am a bit nervous… and when I am nervous I want to eat. But I have decided to sell my beloved XBOX 360…my mind numbing gaming system… I want to be thin and thin athletic people don’t spend hours playing video games and watching TV. I am focused on being healthy and thin. I can for once in my life picture in my own mind a thin attractive version of yours truly. I hope everyone realizes that this process is truly a marathon not a sprint.

I tried and I tried, but man jogging is hard! I have started a walk for 2 minute and run for 1 minute routine. I do this 10 times and I am trying to hit a 30 minute run - (2 Miles). Does anyone else have a system? Oh I popped the air soles in my news shoes! LOL I think I should waiting until I am less than 250lbs before I make another shoe purchase. Now I have my dog on a diet… he topped 150lbs today and he is really dragging his butt.

I haven’t posted in a while I have been super busy, well all I can say is that I am more than half way to my target weight. My secret is exercising… not that that is a huge secret… but I have dieted over a 100 times in my life and I always watched what I ate and never enjoyed exercise. Well the key to weight loss (IMHO) is to exercise until you get bit by the fitness bug, that’s what my best buddy that runs a GNC calls it. If you can find relief from everyday struggles by taking a walk or better yet a brisk run…rather than ice cream… you always feel better after. When you exercise it allows you to really eat what you want (within reason). I am loving life I have joined an adult touch football league and I am targeting January 1st as my due date to hit my goal weight. Thanks everyone for reading and being so supportive

Well I have not posted in a while but allot has happened in the last month, first of I separated from my wife after 4 yrs… that sucks! But I have not started the standard emotional eating I am accustom to, Instead I run every day to work out my stress and sadness. On the positive side I am wearing a size 36 jean…yeehaa never in my adult life have I been this thin, I am so happy! My BMI is at 27 it started a 41. I have started designing my Phoenix rising tattoo that I have wanted for years, but the closer I get to my target weight the more real it seems. I have about15 more pnds to lose before I am at my target. I am also running a half marathon in 2 weeks…! Don’t give up everyone, I was overweight for my whole life and if you put your mind to it and truly picture yourself in a new body you can get there. I am on MSN messenger if anyone needs a buddy.

Hello Everyone,Well I have lost 111lbs and I am feeling great! But now the real work begins…keeping it off. I have worked so hard over the last year eating right and exercising I don’t think keeping it off will be a problem… but eating right will be a struggle. I have already found myself having a few treats here and there (Bad Bad). But I have developed good eating habits and enjoy exercise so… fingers crossed. This site has been fantastic and I really appreciate all the support I have received. To everyone that has struggles with weight hear THIS… Keep going, you will have down weeks or even months but the truth is you can get there (Mind over Matter). I was so unhappy with myself when I was 300lbs but I made the commitment and stuck so it and lost the weight. This is my greatest achievement. I ran a marathon and I am back playing sports again… anyway I’m rambling. Thanks again o everyone!

I will still be weighing in to make sure I don’t get LAZY.

Let me say I cried when I read all my above entries from the past 2 years… it is my blog, they are my entries but I must have forgotten about the struggle life was when I was 300lbs. I am weak, I am human, I am addicted to food….. But I am 182lbs and I am proud to say I am happy, truly happy…..

I remember when I was “big” I imagined being at a healthy weight… but I looked at it like this Mount Everest… and being an impatient person… I could never plan a strategy that would get me to where I want to go over the period of years… So I started with one day… what is my goal today… eat healthy and exercise, what is my goal this week… eat healthy and exercise, now years later it is still my goal and I struggle…. but my new beautiful fiance might be pregnant… so the goal now… is to be a good role model, both in actions and appearence…

I did it everyone, trust me you can to….
